You will notice that your student's workbook looks nothing like a traditional math textbook. That's because this generation of learners are not excelling academically using traditional methods of teaching math.
Students will be discovering math using hands-on activities in class each day.
THE NIGHT OF CLASS. It is critical that they review these concepts in their math journals (Lesson Summary and EQ/I can statements) and complete the 3-4 problems the same night as class.
THE NEXT NIGHT, students should review previous lessons for 10-15 minutes and be able to share their learning with someone who has already had 8th grade math.
